Release notes for Sentinel 0.7.2
June 13, 2026
This release makes Twitch easier to set up, gives you more control over utility commands and your server's command prefix, and improves Premium visibility with a live expiration countdown. Channel summaries handle busy conversations more reliably, and the dashboard stays accessible even when you've been logged in for a while.
Twitch channel search — When adding a Twitch subscription in the dashboard, start typing a channel name to search by username or display name. Live channels show a clear live indicator so you can pick the right streamer at a glance.
Smarter Twitch notifications — Sentinel now remembers which streams it has already announced, so you won't get duplicate live alerts after a bot restart or during long streams.
Command prefix in the dashboard — Set your server's text command prefix from General Settings on the guild overview page. Slash commands always use /command and are not affected.
/prefix command — Server admins can view or change the command prefix directly in Discord. Run /prefix to see the current prefix, or /prefix <new prefix> to update it.
Utility command permissions — Choose who can use utility commands across your server: everyone, moderators only, or specific roles. You can apply one rule to all commands, or configure each command individually and enable or disable commands you don't need.
Premium expiration countdown — When Premium is expiring within 48 hours, the dashboard shows a live countdown alongside the expiration date so you always know how much time is left.
Updated Premium checkout — Premium subscribe and manage-subscription flows have been refreshed for a smoother billing experience.
Duplicate Premium notifications — Premium renewal and expiration alerts are sent once per event, so you won't receive repeated messages about the same subscription change.
Dashboard access after long sessions — If your Discord login session expires while you're using the dashboard, Sentinel can still verify your server access so you're less likely to hit unexpected permission errors when switching between servers.
Twitch setup errors — Clearer feedback when something goes wrong while searching for Twitch channels or saving a subscription.
Twitch live indicators — Live badges in channel search results are easier to spot with updated styling.
Channel summaries on busy channels — Summaries and weekly recaps handle longer conversations more reliably, so active channels still get useful results.
Dashboard session handling — More consistent sign-in behavior across the home page, guild settings, and feature tabs.
In 0.7.2, Twitch setup gets channel search and smarter live alerts, utility commands gain flexible permission controls, and you can manage your command prefix from the dashboard or with /prefix. Premium shows a live countdown when renewal is coming up, and checkout has been refreshed. Open the dashboard to try the new Twitch search and utility settings.
